How I Doubled My 401K Account

by Trader Travis
(http://www.learn-stock-options-trading.com/)

The experts will have you believe that all you have to do is buy and hold and dollar cost average and you'll reach your income goals.

Here's the truth as I see it: They don't want you to learn how to invest successfully on your own. They want you to believe you'll lose your money if you invest without their help.

They're hoping your fear of loss will compel you to keep giving them your money. This is in spite of the fact that studies prove that experts aren't that effective at reaping a high return on your investment.

According to a report published by Standard and Poor, only about 15 – 20% of mutual fund managers beat the stock market average in any given year!

I hope the Bear Market of 2008-2009 made people realize that the buy and hold formula has flaws. There were people who lost 10 years worth of gain during that Bear Market.

Once I became an options trader, I stopped listening to most so called experts because I realized they weren't looking out for my best interest. I started listening to people who had money (preferably millionaires) and it was amazing what I learned.

Most of what I learned was almost opposite of what the experts on TV were advising.

My job is to not just show you how to be an options trader, but how to be a better investor overall.

Options trading may not be for you and if it isn't, I at least want you to be able to create wealth through other means.

What you are about to watch in the video are 2 strategies I now follow called "buy and manage" and "power contributions."

"Buy and Manage" is the opposite of "Buy and Hold"
"Power Contributions"...well you'll just have to watch the video to find out

Now I warn you...it's a meaty video, Its 30 minutes long.

Enjoy,
Trader Travis

RE: History!!
by: Anonymous

Travis,

Yes, I could not understand the idea of giving up the ride(BMW) for something you might have ended up pushing along the side of the road. But I got the point later when I paid off mine(Honda). Gosh, I never knew we had so much in common. There were a couple nights I slept in my car as well and all I could think about was a better life for me and my future. I tied up my boot straps and got a second job working as a security officer at night while working at the Bank in the day. AND going to school a couple days out the week. I had it scheduled and structured so well I could'nt believe I was doing this!!! I barely slept in my own bed during the week.

I say that to only say...I wanted reach my goals of improving my credit and save some money in a certain timespan. I DID IT!!! However, with all my knowledge regarding trading I did only a few transactions. When I met my wife, life just took off so fast-I got married, bought a house and sunk money into it, and had a son.

Now I'm back at that spot where I am thinking there must be a better way. I'm not the guy who's going to end up bagging grocies at age 75!!! The thought makes me cringe!!!!!

Man We Go wayyyy Back!
by: Trader Travis

Thanks Eric,

Man we go wayyy back. I remember when You, Quincy, and I used to meet at Barnes and Noble and talk about becoming wealthy. Quincy was a die hard Forex trader and you and I leaned more towards stock options.

I also remember when you bulked at my suggestion that you sell your car like I did to raise the cash to start options trading. Sorry I just had to go there (smile).

Eric my friend the ONLY reason I know so much and the only reason we are well on our journey to financial freedom is because I NEVER let up and I NEVER gave up. Yes there were times when I was sleeping in my car and thinking I would never "make it".

But I just keep pressing forward despite my lack of external success and eventually everything all came together. Even though we don't talk much I have enjoyed our friendship over the years.

See you at the top buddy because the bottom is getting a little too crowded for me.

Man, you have done a great job with this and grown exponentially in investing knowledge. Thanks Travis for sharing!!!

Thanks Roger
by: Trader Travis

Thanks Roger and congrats on following a similar approach. I hate when company 401K's are limited like that, but what can you do. All you can do is work with what you got.

good video
by: roger wilson

Thanks for the video Travis. There is a lot of truth in your BUY AND MANAGE approach and in your power management approach. I currently used a similiar approach to my company 401-k fund. Unfortunately employees are not able to make changes very quickly as other 401-k packages can nor are we able to pick and choose the funds we want to invest in. Hence we are somewhat limited in our ability to management our funds. However, I have been able to reduce my contributions on the downside and beef up when I realize the market is on the upside. It has worked well for me thus far. Great video and great advice. I look forward to your coaching/mentoring class. Thanks for all you do!

Roger
